Trump's America in the Israel-Iran Conflict

Here we are at the 21st June 2025 and Israel and Iran are coordinating missile strikes against Te Iran and Tel Aviv. Meanwhile, Mr Trump is making his usual brand of sweeping generalisations about what he will do and won't do to remedy the situation.

One source had him saying that he wouldn't assassinate the Iranian leader, at least, at the moment. Another that America wouldn't join the war for another two weeks. Meanwhile, aircraft refueling tankers have been moved into the region and other American naval assets are being moved toward the scene of the conflict as well.

So, is this the beginning of WWIII? Well, WWII required a person like Adolph Hitler to lubricate the political situation and see Nazi Germany prepare for the invasion of Europe. It seems that we need a President Donald Trump to complicate the International political landscape and turn this Middle Eastern proxy war into a full-fledged regional conflict and then by bringing America into the situation turning the conflict into a World War.

I suspect a moot point is whether Mr Trump can act entirely by himself, or is he just the type of president that the Congress and the Pentagon need to allow them to follow the agendas of the Oligarchs. Those behind the scenes who truly rule America and the World.

Whatever you think, Israel and Iran are in a full-fledged war right now. After the slow death of Gaza and Hamas, the other middle eastern states must be feeling incensed at what Israel have done so far. The brutal campaign against Gaza was like taking someone's favourite dog and slowly and methodically beating it to death in front of their eyes. An act intended to drag the whole Islamic world into Jihad.

The bible describes a battle between Israel and the major nation states of the geopolitical world as we would know and understand it today. This battle takes place when all of those nations have formed a huge alliance and transferred men and resources to within the borders of modern Israel. Just as they are poised to attack it would seem that the Lord Yahweh of Israel rains confusion into their midst and they turn their arms on themselves annihilating the entire armed force. The result being that it takes seven months to bury the bones and seven years to burn the weapons (Ezekiel chapter thirty eight and chapter thirty nine). After this Israel is restored.

Many question whether the book of Revelation in the Bible names the United States as power in the End Time. I had thought not but the Adventists of our time do point out a beast the is named in Revelation which may well be America. Revelation 13:11 "Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon." This lamb like beast is said to be America because the lamb relates to the Christian Church which has been a powerful influence in the development of United States.  The fact that it speaks like a dragon relates to the New World Order and the conspiracy that Satan's Mystery of Iniquity have enacted since the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776. So it appears that America may well be mentioned in scripture and be a part of the End Time prophecies.

To conclude, I would simply draw attention to the way Mr Trump has distanced the United States from Europe and the rest of the Western World. This has made it possible for America to pursue its own course into the coming conflict and forced Europe to prepare for war against Russia and the Middle East. Without Trump and America, Israel would be on its own as Europe continued to be infiltrated by Islam and because of Trump, Europe does not have that luxury. Like it or not they must decide who's side they are on and it will cost them.

So Love Trump or Hate him, Love America or Hate her. Both He and She are huge forces for change in our time. It would seem that the long awaited fulfillment of bible prophecy is happening before our very eyes and WWIII is quite probably just around the corner.  Come Lord Jesus.

John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." NKJV

The Ministry of Jesus Christ

We live in a time of anomalies in the Christian World View. In the past few centuries I think most Protestant Christians agreed that the purpose of a believer was to live the a Christian life according to the biblical perspective of what Jesus Christ proclaimed during the time of His ministry here on Earth.

Under that world view we heard the gospel preached; We believed that Jesus bore our sins upon the cross as the sacrifice for our sin; We were baptised and received the forgiveness of sins and the Holy Spirit. We began a repentant life of living according to every word that proceeds from the mouth of God and proclaiming salvation in the name above all names Jesus Christ. The focus was on Jesus Christ at the center of the narrative.

Now we have lost that fairly simple narrative for several different ones based on Adventist doctrines of the seventh day or the investigative judgement; Calvinist doctrines of grace and five point Calvinism; Charismatic doctrines of laying on of hands and speaking in tongues of angels. There is a melting pot of doctrines and much confusion of these different perspectives.

The result is that people are saying things like "People who believe on Jesus Christ alone are not making well established and long lasting converts." We need to do what Jesus did with His disciples and preach that the Kingdom of God is at hand while at the same time making sure to disciple them as Jesus did when He sent out the disciples in Matthew chapter ten verses four through fourteen. Instructing disciples as Jesus did Jesus did is a great idea but when Jesus was crucified and then resurrected from the dead the message moved from being the Kingdom of God is at hand to that the King is Risen. The focus became salvation in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth (Acts 4:5-12).

I think the idea of replacing the gospel with the idea that the Kingdom of the God is at hand is probably grounded in the idea that being saved by grace we are not able to allow any works that we can do into the salvation matrix. So, believing on the name of Jesus Christ becomes a difficult pill to swallow for the Calvinist as it is close to saying we do this believing ourselves and Calvinists cannot abide that idea. As a result they have a problem with the very idea of having to believe on Jesus of Nazareth and even repenting and being baptised because there is a clear implication that we must do that of ourselves and as depraved individuals they refuse to accept that as being possible. Therefore, they have a problem with the entire third chapter of John. That is a big problem to have and explains why when asked if they are saved many Calvinists reply that they do not know and cannot know.

The ministry of Jesus was a period of time when the Son of God walked the Earth in the body of a man and proclaimed the truth of sin separating God from man. He preached that the Kingdom of God was at hand and a message of repentance. He both modeled the Christian life and described it to his disciples and to greater Israel. What He did formed the basis for the writers of the New Testament to bring us both the good news, and foundation of the Christian life.

That ministry on the Earth was punctuated by the death, burial, resurrection and subsequent appearance of Jesus Christ to the apostles and other folk. Then His giving of the great commission and His ascension into Heaven, followed by the baptism of the Holy Spirit in Acts chapter two, which set the scene for the spread of the gospel to the nations and all of the Earth. This is the gospel and the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the only name under heaven by which you must be saved and yes you must believe on Jesus Christ to receive eternal life.

The Don still wants Greenland

Donald Trump has make no bones about wanting to add several countries to the United States. He named Greenland some time ago as a territory he would like to acquire for the expansion of the Union. Along with that he also offered Canada the possibility of joining the United States as the fifty first state. This has been summarily declined by the government of Canada.

Greenland was also openly hostile to Trumps offer as were Denmark who protect Greenland as a part of their country currently. Greenland are the largest part of the Danish Kingdom and are autonomously controlled but protected by the Danish military. Greenland are currently seeking independence as is their right under the Danish constitution.

The nation is mineral and gas rich and the capital of Nuuk is closer to New York than Copenhagen. These are perceived strengths of the United States acquisition plan but also the American's see the protection of the island as central to their need to seek government over the territory. If it were to fall under Russian control it would represent a significant blow to defense of the US against missile strikes as well as the protection of Europe from invasion in that area.

The United States are also interested in Denmark because they invaded it during World War Two and established an air base on the island. They remained there during the cold war maintaining Thule Airbase which subsequently became Pituffik Space Base. The island is in the path of nuclear ICBMs were they to be launched at the United States from Russia. This makes it of strategic importance to Trump's United States which is said to be considering offering a COFA agreement to Greenland where it would offer to provide essential services and tariff free trade in exchange for unfettered military access and protection.

In March U.S. Vice President JD Vance on a visit to the island accused fellow NATO member Denmark of not doing a good job keeping Greenland safe and suggested the United States would better protect the territory. Reuters

In basis, the thinking behind the acquisition of Greenland by the United States involves an historical element which includes an ongoing military relationship with the territory since WWII. Bolstering Defense capabilities in the region as well as solidifying control over mineral and gas reserves in the area. Although Trump's handling of the process may seem heavy handed there would appear to be genuine reasons that support negotiations about the proposal.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
